Remember Pee Wee? In late spring, he emerged from under our bunkie, a baby snowshoe hare with absolutely no fear of us. He ate all our weeds, then started to roam and we saw him only occasionally this summer and not for the past month. But last night, he dropped by to say hi, hopping right up to my feet. His fur is changing and by deep winter he’ll be solid white.
Tulip, our Viking cat, asked about Thelma and Louise, but Pee Wee hasn’t seen our missing wild turkeys. The mystery continues.
