Meet Pee Wee, the newest generation of snowshoe hares at our cabin at Kagawong. Pee Wee popped out from under our guest bunkie the other day, bright eyed and bushy tailed. He’d fit in your cupped hands. Our snowshoe hares, which turn white in winter, have always been comfortable with us, maybe because we’re protection from wolves, trappers and the like. Or maybe because they know I’ve always wanted more hare.
